2026 SGC Regional Relay Team
The 2026 QLD State Regional Relay Championships will be conducted on Saturday 12th December 2026 following the 2026 QLD State Club Relay Championships at Chandler Aquatic Centre - Map Link
Swimmers from each region compete in team based relay events (Freestyle & Medley) for Qld Championship status.
This is a great opportunity to be a part of an incredible SGC Team and possibly win a state championship medal!!!
Expressions of interest from registered Swimming Gold Coast competitive swimmers will be taken from Saturday 31st October 2026, with the closing date for the expression of interest being 11.59pm Wednesday 11th November 2026.
Swimmers will be selected from those expressions of interest on the 50m performances achieved throughout this season in both long course and short course events, detailed below:

Speedo Short Course Preparation Meet – 4th & 5th July 2026
Hancock Prospecting QLD State Short Course Championships - 6th-9th August 2026
QLD Long Course Preparation Meet #1 - 17th-18th October 2026
Times from Australian Meets in 2026 will also be used to determine positions.
NOTE: swimmers may request that results from other qualifying meets be taken into consideration, however, the SGC executive committee will evaluate those results, at their discretion.
Swimmers must have competed in a least 1 SGC Championship meets (SGC Sprint Champs, SGC Champs, or SGC Short Course Champs) in 2026 and MUST participate in the 2026 SGC Relay Championships at GCAC on Saturday 31st October, unless an exemption is requested, due to illness.
The SGC teams selected to compete at the Queensland Regional Relay Championships will be the fastest available swimmers (in 50m events) that have met the above criteria and have submitted their expression of interest. If availability dictates that we need to expand the criteria, then this will be done.
