Swimmers are invited by GCRSA to swim for the Gold Coast Region team, and the selection of the swimmers is at the discretion of the Swimming Gold Coast executive committee. The criteria, this year, will be based on meet results from the Swimming Gold Coast short course season, as follows (Swimmers must have swam a minimum of 1 of the below Gold Coast meets):

  • Southport Olympic Development Meet – 4th June 2022

  • 2022 Speedo Short Course Preparation Meet - 9th - 10th July 2022

  • McDonald's QLD State Short Course Championships - 12th - 14th August 2022

Swimmers that are available and have met the initial criteria (at least top 4 in the region in any given event) in multiple events will be given preference. If availability dictates that we need to expand the criteria, then this will be done. The selection of the team is at the discretion of the SGC development Sub-Committee.
