Awards Criteria

Swimming Gold Coast is extremely proud to reward our swimmers, coaches, officials and clubs for their incredible support each season, as well as the phenomenal results they achieve from all the hard work, dedication and commitment to our sport.

Below is a list of the awards on offer this 2022-23 season and the relevant criteria.

SGC Swimmer of the Year

SGC Swimmer of the year is our most prestigious award of the season, awarded to the swimmer with the best achievements throughout the season. Click on the icon to find out more.

SGC Multi-Class Swimmer

Awarded to both Female and Male Multi-Class swimmers who have achieved excellent results throughout the season. Click on the icon to find out more.

SGC Stroke Awards

Calculated on a points basis, these awards are given to the swimmers who competed the most consistently across the awarded strokes throughout the season. Click on the icon to find out more.

SGC Coaches Award

Aimed to provide recognition to our coaches here at SGC, this award recognises the best coaching group as determined by the points based system. Click on the icon to find out more.

SGC Rising Star

SGC Rising Star is awarded to the young swimmer that has had a great season and is on the way to fulfilling their potential. Click on the icon to find out more.

SGC Open Water Swimmer

Awarded to both Female and Male Open Water swimmers who have achieved incredible results throughout the season. Click on the icon to find out more.

SGC Age Champions

Age group champions are determined using a points based system to reward the top 3 placegetters in each age group. Click on the icon to find out more.

SGC Club Award
