2022 SGC Regional Relay Team

The 2022 QLD State Regional Relay Championships will be conducted on Saturday 10th December 2022 proceeding the 2022 QLD State Club Relay Championships at Chandler Aquatic Centre - Map Link

Swimmers from each region compete in team based relay events (Freestyle & Medley) for Qld Championship status.

 

This is a great opportunity to win a state championship medal!!!

Expressions of interest from registered Swimming Gold Coast competitive swimmers will be taken from Wednesday 12th October 2022 , with the closing date for the expression of interest being 11.59pm Friday 11th November 2022.

Swimmers will be selected from those expressions of interest on the performances achieved throughout this season in both long course and short course events, detailed below:

  1. SGC Championships - 12th-13th March 2022

  2. Southport Olympic Development Meet – 4th June 2022

  3. SGC Preparation Meet - 18th June 2022

  4. Helensvale Transition Meet – 3rd July 2022

  5. All Saints Transition Meet – 16th July 2022

  6. SGC SC Championships – 30th & 31st July 2022

  7. Trinity Development Carnival - 20th August 2022

  8. Miami Transition Meet - 11th September 2022

  9. Somerset Transition Meet - 1st October 2022

  10. Emmanuel College SC Development Meet - 15th October 2022

  11. TSS Transition Meet - 29th October 2022

  12. SGC Relay Championships - 5th November 2022 (First swimmer splits only)

 

The following Swimming Queensland Meets will also be taken into consideration:

 

Speedo Short Course Preparation Meet – 9th & 10th July 2022

McDonald's QLD State Short Course Championships - 12th-14th August 2022

QLD Long Course Preparation Meet #1 - 8th-9th October 2022

Medal Shots Long Course Preparation Meet - 12th-13th November 2022

NOTE: swimmers may request that results from other qualifying meets be taken into consideration, however, the SGC executive committee will evaluate those results, at their discretion.

 

Swimmers must have competed in a least 2 SGC Championship meets (SGC Sprint Champs, SGC Champs, or SGC Short Course Champs) in 2022.

The SGC  teams selected to compete at the Queensland Regional Relay Championships will be the fastest available swimmers that have met the above criteria and have submitted their expression of interest. If availability dictates that we need to expand the criteria, then this will be done.
