2022 Inter Regional Challenge - Expression of Interest Link

Inter-Regional Challenge

This is an “invitation only” event - with those swimmers declaring themselves available and that meet the selection criteria.

Swimmers are invited by SGC to swim for the Gold Coast Regional team, and the selection of the swimmers is at the discretion of the Swimming Gold Coast executive committee. The criteria, this year, will be based on meet results from the Swimming Gold Coast short course season, as follows (Swimmers must have swam a minimum of 1 of the below Gold Coast meets):

  • SGC Championships - 12th & 13th March 2022

  • SGC Preparation Meet - 18th June 2022

  • Helensvale Transition Meet – 3rd July 2022

  • All Saints Transition Meet – 16th June 2022

  • SGC SC Championships – 30th & 31st July 2022

The following Swimming Queensland Meets will also be taken into consideration:

  • Speedo Short Course Preparation Meet – 9th - 10th July 2022

  • McDonald's QLD State Short Course Championships - 12th - 14th August 2022

Swimmers that are available and have met the criteria (at least top 4 in the region in any given event) in multiple events will be given preference. If availability dictates that we need to expand the criteria, then this will be done.

Please refer to your swimmers coach in the first place for any questions related to selection criteria.
